ΝΕΑ ΥΟΡΚΗ. Η θρυλική ομάδα του Παγκυπρίου Συνδέσμου «The New York Pancyprian Freedoms» το απόγευμα της Κυριακής, 11ης Μαΐου 2025 αναμετρήθηκε με την «NY Athletic Club» και στην κυριολεξία έγραψε ιστορία. Κέρδισε τον αγώνα 5 – 0 και ταυτόχρονα κέρδισε το κύπελλο του πρωταθλήματος «Metropolitan Conference» του Amateur Premier Soccer League (APSL).
Πρόκειται για ένα επί πλέον ιστορικό γεγονός για την ομάδα που για μισό περίπου αιώνα κρατάει στο υψηλότερο βάθρο την σημαία της Κύπρου και συνάμα την σημαία του αγώνα της ομογένειας για την ελευθερία της Κύπρου.
Το πρωτάθλημα και η κατάκτηση του τρόπαιου, κάθε άλλο παρά εύκολη υπόθεση, ήταν διότι αναμετρήθηκε με άλλες ιστορικές ομάδες, μεταξύ των οποίων την ομογενειακή «NY Greek American» και της Lansdowne Yonkers FC. και NY Athletic Club.
Αυτή η νίκη αντανακλά τη συνοχή, το σθένος και την αδιάκοπη δέσμευση που ως γνωστόν αποτελούν το σήμα κατατεθέν της ομάδας του Παγκυπρίου.
Εβδομάδα με την εβδομάδα, η ομάδα έχει προσφέρει σταθερές εμφανίσεις και στις δύο πλευρές, ξεπερνώντας τον σκληρό ανταγωνισμό από κορυφαίους αντιπάλους, όπως οι NY Greek Americans και η Lansdowne Yonkers FC.
Πέρσι ο Παγκύπριος κέρδισε το Πρωτάθλημα Εθνικού Ερασιτεχνικού Κυπέλλου (USASA 2024) και αφιέρωσε το κύπελλο στον λαό της Κύπρου και στον συνεχή αγώνα του για ελευθερία και δικαιοσύνη, καθώς και στον αγαπημένο αείμνηστο παίκτη και ευεργέτη του συλλόγου, Κωνσταντίνο (Ντίνο) Ιορδάνου.
Και ο Παγκύπριος δεν επαναπαύεται στις δάφνες, αλλά συνεχίζει με πίστη και πείσμα τις αναμετρήσεις του τρίτου γύρου του USASA National Amateur Cup 2025.
Την Κυριακή 18 Μαΐου 2025 και ώρα 5:00 μ.μ. θα αναμετρηθεί με την Lansdowne Yonkers F.C. στο γήπεδο «St. Michael’s Field» στο Woodside της Νέας Υόρκης.
Ο αγώνας, όπως αναφέρεται στην σχετική ανακοίνωση τύπου, αναμένεται ένας από τους πιο δύσκολους μέχρι σήμερα, καθώς η Lansdowne F.C. είναι από καιρό ένας σεβαστός και σκληρός αντίπαλος. Παρόλα αυτά, με δυναμική και σκοπό σε κάθε πάσα, οι Freedoms παραμένουν άηττητοι.
Παρά την επιτυχία της πρώτης ομάδας, την Κυριακή 11 Μαΐου, οι New York Pancyprian Freedoms II ήρθαν ισόπαλοι με την NYAC II για να εξασφαλίσουν τη δεύτερη θέση στην τρίτη κατηγορία του Cosmopolitan Soccer League, κερδίζοντας την άνοδο στη δεύτερη κατηγορία.

The New York Pancyprian Freedoms have done it again. With dominant wins over SC Vistula Garfield and New York Athletic Club, the team has officially clinched the Metropolitan Conference Championship of the Amateur Premier Soccer League (APSL)—adding yet another title to their storied legacy.
This victory reflects the cohesion, grit, and relentless commitment that defines the Pancyprian identity. Week after week, the squad has delivered consistent performances on both sides of the ball, rising above fierce competition from top rivals including the NY Greek Americans and Lansdowne Yonkers FC. The championship marks a high point in a season dedicated to something far greater than just silverware.
The club continues to honor its roots, playing this season in memory of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus—a dark and painful moment in history for the Cypriot community. The 2024 USASA National Amateur Cup Championship was dedicated to the people of Cyprus and their continued fight for freedom and justice, as well as to the club’s beloved late player and benefactor, Constantinos (Dino) Iordanou.
Now, with the APSL Metropolitan title secured, the focus shifts to the next challenge: the 2025 USASA National Amateur Cup. As reigning National Amateur Cup Champions, the Freedoms are charging forward into the third round of this prestigious tournament with one goal in mind—winning it all again.

Along with the success of the first team, on Sunday, May 11, the New York Pancyprian Freedoms II drew with NYAC II to secure second place in the third division of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League. to earn promotion into the second division.
