Με τα χρώματα της σημαίας του Ισραήλ φωταγωγήθηκε η πρόσοψη του κτηρίου της Βουλής των Ελλήνων σε ένδειξη συμπαράσταση για τις απάνθρωπες τρομοκρατικές επιθέσεις που υπέστη από τη Χαμά ο ισραηλινός λαός
Ο πρόεδρος της Βουλής Κωνσταντίνος Τασούλας σε δήλωσή του αναφέρει πως «μαζί με άλλα ευρωπαϊκά Κοινοβούλια και εμβληματικά δημόσια και μη κτήρια, που φωταγωγήθηκαν με τη σημαία του Ισραήλ, και η Ελληνική Βουλή απόψε φωταγωγείται με την ίδια σημαία, για να εκφραστεί έτσι και η ανθρώπινη συμπαράσταση, αλλά και δριμύτατη αποδοκιμασία.
Συμπαράσταση σε άμαχο ιδίως πληθυσμό, που δεν γίνεται σεβαστός ούτε αφού δολοφονηθεί από αβυσσαλέα χτυπήματα πρωτοφανούς μίσους της Χαμάς, και αποδοκιμασία μιας βίαιης και απίστευτα απάνθρωπης επίθεσης σε κράτος, που καταφεύγει στο αναφαίρετο δικαίωμα της αυτοάμυνας. Απόψε, δεν φωταγωγούμε μόνο με τη σημαία του Ισραήλ, αλλά μέσω αυτής, και με το δικαίωμα στην εθνική κυριαρχία, στην ανθρώπινη αξιοπρέπεια και τελικά στην ελπίδα για ειρήνη, που παρά ταύτα δικαιούται να μη κλονιστεί ανεπανόρθωτα».

B”H In he long rehabilitation of our native land’s march towards more decent, even warmer bilateral relations between Greece and Israel, the decision to have the flag of the Jewish State projected in light on the Hellenic Parliament’s exterior is a dramatic demonstration! Such solidarity is not shared by the country’s Communist Party, nor by the misguided and ahistorical demonstrators gathered in front of Israel’s Embassy in Athens. It’s a painful reminder that Greece has several more steps to take to restore more trust and confidence in the binational relations and more broadly the emotional ties that should mark Jews and the Christian Orthodox Church. Now is the opportune time for the Mitsotakis Administration to repudiate its anti-Semitic vote in the UNGA 75 years ago against the birth of a Jewish State. And, simultaneously, the Orthodox dogma must be amended to excise the reference to Jews being blameworthy for the crucifixion; an unparalleled Big Lie that is inherently anti-Semitic! Such steps can make us all proud of our country of origin, for Greek Jews, and other minorities can feel included in this multi-ethnic-religious populace that constitutes modern Hellas. Amen.
