ΝΕΑ ΥΟΡΚΗ. Ο γνωστός Ελληνοαμερικανός επιχειρηματίας Τζον Κατσιματιδης, που είναι ιδιοκτήτης μεταξύ άλλων και του ραδιοφωνικού σταθμού WABC, ανακοίνωσε την δημιουργία εθνικού ραδιοφωνικού δικτύου με την επωνυμία «Red Apple Audio Networks».
H κίνηση αυτή επιδιώκει να δώσει μια ευκαιρία να μεταδίδονται σε εθνικό δίκτυο οι εκπομπές των συνεργατών του, μέσω της μεθόδου Podcast Network Streaming Platform.
Βέβαια οι περισσότεροι από τους συνεργάτες και παρουσιαστές εκπομπών απευθύνονται σε ένα κοινό συγκεκριμένης πολιτικής ιδεολογίας, που ταυτίζεται με τους θαυμαστές του πρώην Προέδρου Ντόναλντ Τραμπ.
Ανάμεσα τους ο Λάρι Κάντλοου, η Ρίτα Κόσμπι, ο Κρεγκ Κέλι, η πρώην δικαστής Τζανίν Πίρο, ο Κρις Χαν και ο Ρούντι Τζουλιάνι.
Στον κύκλο των εκπομπών συμπεριλαμβάνεται και η μετάδοση εβδομαδιαίας εκπομπής του Τζον Κατσιματιδη που έχει τίτλο «Roundtable», σύμφωνα με την ιστοσελίδα «RadioINK. Com»
Aανακοινώνοντας την έναρξη λειτουργίας του δικτύου ο Τζον Κατσιματίδης εξέφρασε τον ενθουσιασμό του για την δημιουργία του, που όπως ανέφερε «θα δώσει την ευκαιρία σε γνωστές και καταξιωμένες φωνές, να ακούγονται από την μια πλευρά της Αμερικής μέχρι την άλλη».
Το εθνικό ραδιοφωνικό δίκτυο «Red Apple Radio Networks» θα προσφέρει, πρόσθεσε ο Κατσιματίδης, ιστορίες, ειδήσεις, απόψεις και θα επιχειρήσει να παρουσιάσει την αλήθεια και στις δύο πλευρές, δημιουργώντας, έναν καινούργιο τρόπο παρουσίασης του λεγόμενου Talk Radio με ιστορίες που «διαμορφώνουν τον κόσμο στον οποίο ζούμε».

There’s no question, my instant impression was to welcome my friend John’s new entrepreneurial ventur —- an ethnic radio with a twist, promoting a variety of Greek-American views bereft in the present constellation of air time (cosmosfm.org, Hellasfm.us, aktina@aktina.org, wpso.com, info@Hellasnewsradio.com, to list a depressing few)! Almost immediately, my heart took a dispiriting dip, as I learn that Catsimatidis continues to cater to the outliers of our Republican Party —- Giuliani, Kudlow, Piro, et al., you know them as the losers of the Fox-Newsmax-OAN-Brietbart networks; the surprise is that the 45th President was not mentioned, but his rogues gallery is prominent! If this move is designed to make Catsimatidis —- father and junior are featured in the blurb —- palatable to a broader audience than the base of right-wing, even fascist, ideologues in the Greek-American community, our friend failed miserably.
In fact, it is obvious that all my counseling to have him move dramatically away from identification with insurrectionists-racists-intent on upending our precious democracy has landed on deaf, indifferent ears. As John has mentioned to me, and illustrates in a photographic mementos, he’s easily distracted by wealth; attracted to those who possess it named Bill, or Donald, rather than the concerns of the 99% of the population (income disparity, discrimination, voter suppression, climate, medical care and prescription drug cost control, racism, the miasma of corruption and self-dealing for the past five years in Washington, restoring the American Dream). Still, and because of our work together in his failed bid to secure the GOP nominal for NYC mayor; and his earlier presence in my trailblazing inaugural address as a survivor of the Holocaust of Greek-Jewry, I retain a modicum of hope that the coterie of advisers I was introduced and respect may yet guide him away from a swamp that can only justly bury an incipient political aspiration. Ultimately, some voters may be duped some of the time, but success cannot be achieved believing that one may outsmart them all with a gas tank running on empty. John, I, and others, can help you rise above ⬆️ your limited education and narrowness of life experiences; please, call and/or write before the new radio outlet is lost in ding of cacophonous noises.
